The HDSSS was developed to keep the 8’ VIA WHIPS standing upright in high winds on haul roads or at higher vehicle operating speeds.

The HDSSS Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Spring is made of PH 17-7 .300” Stainless Steel Winding and 303 Stainless Plug ends with ½” X 20 NF threaded female and male ends for mounting. The 1 1/8” Wrench Cuts facilitate the installation of the VIA 8 WHIP and the Mounting of the HDSSS onto a mounting system such as the VIA MOUNTS.

The internal cavity has a silicone heater hose inserted to eliminate any potential wiring from making contact within the spring preventing any potential electrical shorts.
